The Race for the Double Helix at CAC


Longtime Cinema Arts Centre Member Dr. James Watson is a molecular biologist, geneticist, and zoologist, best known as a co-discoverer of the structure of DNA in 1953. He is also a big fan of Jeff Goldblum who portrays Dr. Watson in the film The Race for the Double Helix. This special Wednesday, May 15 screening, discussion and reception will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the discovery. The program starts at 7:15 pm at Cinema Arts Centre.

Willie Nelson Coming to Westbury

Country music legend Willie Nelson is set to appear at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury on Friday, June 7 at 8 p.m. The creative genius behind the historic recordings of “Crazy,”  “Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain,” “On The Road Again,” and “Always On My Mind.”  helped to create an entire Outlaw movement in Country Music.
