Cultural-Arts Workshops Planned

Local teachers and residents invited to register for Huntington Arts Council series.

A series of cultural-arts workshops is scheduled for October at the Huntington Arts Council. 

Teachers from Huntington, South Huntington, Commack, Harborfields, North Babylon, Northport and Plainview can participate for free. Teachers from other districts or others interested in the subject pay $20 per workshop.

The workshops run from 4:30-7:30 p.m., on Oct.  2, 8, 15, 22 and 30 and provide teachers with in-service hours or professional development credit.

Scheduled for discussion are:
African Abstraction and Modern Art intertwined, Music Across Continents, Storytelling Connections to the Common Core, Creating Portraits from History, Culture and Imagination and Indian Block Printing Trends and Traditions.
