It's perhaps the most amazing one-hit wonder in opera: The Tilles Center presents Leoncavallo's Pagliacci, a tale of love, jealousy and revenge, performed by Dicapo Opera Theatre on Friday, April 19 at 8 p.m.
This classic tragic Italian opera uses lush melodies and soaring orchestration is sung in Italian with English super-titles and performed with full orchestra. The aria Vesti la giubba is a tour de force for tenors who both act and sing. When done right, it's musical drama at its finest.
