  2. The National Weather Service has issued a severe winter storm warning for our area. Snow before noon, then snow and freezing rain with a high near 30 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible. Check with Northport Patch for cancellations, early dismissals or postponements of events. 
  3. The Northport Village Board of Trustees is expected to meet tonight. Village Clerk Donna Koch said that, as of Monday, the board did not plan to cancel the meeting due to the weather. See more info here.
