The Reason for the Season
Faithful flock to local churches for Christmas celebrations.
There are many ways to celebrate the Christmas season. For some, it might be hanging treasured ornaments that have been passed down from generation to generation. Or spending quality time with loved ones and friends, or perhaps donating the gift of time to charitable efforts. And for others, it's all about the singing of familiar Christmas hymns and coming together as a community to celebrate.
Whether it was at a reverent service, a jubilant mass, or perhaps just a quiet moment spent in thoughtful reflection, many Northporters spent part of their Christmas Eve at church. These photos give just a small idea of how some folks in the parish celebrated the day and night.
