Need a Beach Permit? Here's Where to Get One

Find out where and when to get a beach permit for Town of Huntington beaches.

The summer beach season is nearly here and that means soon enough beach permits will be required to access area beaches in Huntington. If you haven't gotten your permit yet or aren't sure where to, here is a list to check out.

The Town of Huntington maintains and operates eight beaches: Centerport Beach, Crab Meadow Beach, Gold Star Battalion Beach, West Neck Beach, Hobart Beach, Asharoken Beach, Fleets Cove Beach, and Crescent Beach.

Residents may purchase a season permit or pay a daily fee. Seasonal beach parking permits, available to residents only, go on sale at Centerport, Crab Meadow, and West Neck beaches starting May 25.

Purchaser’s must present a valid vehicle registration and driver’s license and the permit must be affixed on the right side vehicle window by the attendant at purchase. Seasonal permits costs $35 and are nontransferable. Additional vehicles require additional permits.

Senior Citizen Seasonal Parking Beach Permit is issued FREE to senior residents (60 and over) at Centerport Beach. Seniors must also present valid vehicle registration and driver’s license as proof of residency.

Resident daily beach parking passes may be purchased by resident non-permit holders with proper identification for $20. Non-resident daily beach parking passes may be purchased for $30.

The Town of Huntington also operate the Dix Hills Swimming Pool.

Seasonal pool memberships may be purchased by Huntington residents with two proofs of residency starting May 29 at the Dix Hills Park Ice Rink Office on weekdays from 10 am—4 pm.

After June 15, residents with two proofs of ID may purchase memberships at the pool office seven days a week from 1 to 7 p.m. Seasonal Membership Fees: Family ($250); Individual ($100); Senior/Disabled ($50). For less frequent users, daily admission is also available:

  • Non Parks & Recreation ID Card holders ($9.00)
  • Children (under 13) with Parks & Recreation ID Card ($5.50)
  • Teens (13—17) with Parks & Recreation ID Card ($6.00)
  • Adults (18—59) with Parks & Recreation ID Card ($7.00)
  • Senior (60 and over)/Disabled with Parks & Recreation ID Card ($4.50)
  • Non-Resident with Resident Host/Non-ID Card Holder ($9.00)
