It's Friday, Jan. 21: Museum Visits, Symphony Shows and Two-Hour Delay

A roundup of things to do today in and around Northport.

It's Friday. We've made it through another work and/or school week and are cruising into the weekend. There are lots of events scheduled, but they may be cancelled due to impending snow so check with Northport Patch to stay updated.

Editor's Note: Both Northport and Elwood schools have a two-hour delay this morning.

  1. Registration for the winter-break cheer camp has been postponed —it was scheduled for today— because of the possibility of snow.  Another date has been added. See more info here.
  2. The Northport Symphony Orchestra will play tonight at East Northport Middle School.  See more info here.
  3. There are only ten days left to enter the 'Design-A-Bookmark' contest at the library. See more info and download the application here.
  4. and the Brooklyn Museum at the Northport library. See more info here.
  5. Finally, the undefeated Northport girls basketball team will travel to West Islip tonight for a 6 p.m. game. Elwood's varsity wrestling team will face Miller Place at home for a 4 p.m. match.
