It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend. Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-with-work-outta-here time. Check out our picks for the activities to hit and new bars/restaurants/shops to explore.


Where/When: ; Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 1 p.m. Why Go: Andrea Garone is a landscape photographer, who uses color and high contrast throughout her work. Garone creates an abstract or impressionistic picture by digitally manipulating her photos. Pricing: Free admission.


Where/When: ; Friday at 7 p.m. Why Go: The Northport Arts Coalition presents street music, featuring singers/songwriters, jazz, blues, swing, bluegrass, country, popular and open mic. Pricing: Free admission.


Where/When: ; Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Why Go: A drama by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, about a high school sex scandal, with a great line up of characters. Pricing: $20 per person.


Where/When: ; Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 8:30 p.m. Why Go: Friday, 8/12 – Gandalf Murphy and the Slambovian Circus of Dreams; Saturday 8/13 – The Long Island Philharmonic; Sunday 8/14 – Brother Joscephus and the Love Revival Revolution. Pricing: Performances are free and open to the public


Where/When: ; Saturday, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Why Go: Friends of the Farm hosts the Annual Barnyard Bash & Lobster Bake fundraiser, a day of fun with great people, pony and hay rides, the traditional pie eating contest and live music. Finish the day with delicious lobster, clams, shrimp, hot dogs and corn on the cob. Live entertainment – Jeff Mucciolo & the Moonshine Band. Pricing: Admission is FREE and all food/activities are priced a la carte.
