Get Out! Northport's Weekend Planner for March 18-20

3 Backyards, "Meat Out" and open mic. Choose from this week's array of events.

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend. Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check our picks for the activities to hit and new bars/restaurants/shops to explore.


Where/When: Cinema Arts Centre; Friday, 7:15 pm.
Why Go: The film, starring Edie Falco, had scene shot in the local Ross Asharoken waterfront home.


Where/When: ; Friday, 7:30 pm-10 pm.
Why Go: Youth Directions and Alternatives is open for teens to spend time with friends on Friday nights, where they can watch movies, play games, listen to music, and have fun. High School Drop-In is open to all high school students in the Northport/East Northport School District.
Pricing: Free.


Where/When: , Saturday, 9 am-4 pm.
Why Go: A group of vegetarians from Northport High School will discuss the benefits of going meat free.
Pricing: Free.


Where/When: : Saturday, 8 pm-10:30 pm.
Why Go: Open mic night is open to everyone. Come down and share your music, or come down and listen others.
Pricing: Free.


Where/When: ; Sunday, 3 pm-7 pm.
Why Go: Your admission to the event will include food, beverages, a DJ and plenty of chances to win prizes. Join “Team Galluzzo” to help support Jeff and his family. Jeff Galluzzo was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer in September and has undergone numerous therapies and operations. The benefit is to help the family with medical expenses.
