Where/When: (Main Street Petite Gallery); Friday 6 P.M. to 8 p.m.
Why Go: Enjoy an evening with the work of artists Irene Andreadis, Judith Davidson, Kevin W. McEvoy, and Denis Ponsot, Diane Lennox Bares, Cody Jacobs, Peter A. Kopher, Terance McManus, Robin Pedersen, Brian Richardson, Sherry St. Renz, Mario Simone, Edward Sterz, Chuck VonSchmidt and Jeff Webb.


Where/When: ; all day Friday.
Why Go: As a thank you to their loyal customers, Tropical Smoothie Cafe will give a FREE 24 oz. Jetty Punch smoothie to the first 500 people wearing flip flops.
Pricing: FREE, but don’t forget to wear your flip flops.


Where/When: , Gold Star and Centerport Beach; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Why Go: Calling all beach lovers. Volunteers are needed to participate in a town-wide beach cleanup. There will be a "Clean Beaches Bus Tour" leaving from the municipal parking lot in Northport across the street from the Engeman Theater on Main Street to shuttle volunteers to Hobart, Asharoken and Scudder Beaches. In addition, there will be a celebratory luncheon for sponsors and volunteers.


Where/When: Northport Village Dock; Sunday, 10:45 a.m.
Why Go: Northport Harbor's Blessing of the Fleet will feature roughly 100 boats parading by the Northport Village Dock for recognition by elected officials, Coast Guard personnel and blessings by clergy. The day will include the opening of the Northport Farmers Market, music and other activities in the Northport Village park area.


Where/When: ; Sunday, 10:45 a.m.
Why Go: A featuring the artwork from local and emerging artists. There will also be live music at locations around the Village. Bring dad downtown for his big day.
