Dog CPR Class Coming to East Northport

What happens if your dog chokes on a toy or gets a bad cut during a walk? A pet CPR and first aid class will be held Jan. 26 at Barkfield Road Dog Treats and Specialty Products in East Northport.

The class will teach pet owners how to prevent and treat injuries pet injuries. Robyn Elman, President of In Home Pet Services, Inc., who is a certified ‘Pet Tech’ Instructor in the Tri-state area, is offering the class on pet life-saving from 3:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Using a life sized stuffed animal dog, this class will teach participants how to: restrain an injured or ill pet; CPR and rescue breathing; bleeding injuries; cold weather element injuries; winter dangers to pets and how to prevent them; bandaging; insect bites and much more.
