Cow Harbor Day Festivities Begin

The parade will begin at noon down Main Street.

The race is over, and now it's time for the celebrations to begin as Cow Harbor Day kicks off today in Northport Village.

The day's events begin with a parade down Main Street at noon, featuring local bands, floats, sport teams, high school marching bands, antique cars and the Northport Trolley.

Immediately following the parade, Main Street will be closed to traffic until 5 p.m. In the Harbor Park, the festivities range from amusement rides, live music, vendors, boating contests and barbecue. On Main Street, local vendors offer discounted items, food and more.

For parking purposes, those visiting for the day should be prepared to walk a fair distance if they don't get into the Village that morning.
