Coming Up: Snowstorm; Watershed Meeting

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from noon Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Northport is in for another snowstorm Tuesday, bringing freezing tempertatures and an expected 10- to 14-inches of snow. Here's a look at what residents should know about this week.

Bracing for More Snow
The National Weather Service declared a Winter Storm Warning to be in effect from noon Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday. Forecasters predict that strong winds will make Tuesday's high of 25-degrees feel more like 7-degrees and even colder tempartures are expected overnight.

Residents are encouraged to stay inside for the duration of the storm and to only venture out only if necessary. Individuals are also encouraged to make sure that all medicines are refilled to avoid having to run out during the storm. Drivers should make sure that their cars are fueled and their power generators are in working order. Generators should only be used in an open space outside of a home as to avoid exposure to carbon monoxide.
