Boy Scouts Visit The Atria in East Northport

Troop 5 brought painting supplies and birdhouses to decorate with the residents.

Members of Troop 5 of the Boy Scouts of America recently visited The Atria, an assisted living facility in East Northport, and they were not empty-handed.

The troop brought several decorative birdhouses and painting supplies, and the boys paired up with residents of The Atria to paint the birdhouses.

The Atria visit is one of many annual service events in which Troop 5 participates.

“It’s always a great experience for the boys, who have nice conversations with the residents while they work on the birdhouses together,” said Kristen Cacic, service project coordinator for the troop.

Troop 5 meets weekly at Trinity Regional School in East Northport. For more information about the troop, visit www.troop5enpt.org
