Local Girls Win Big at Gymnastics Competition

Local girls won big at the USAG Level 5-6 state gymnastics competition on Saturday in Elmira, NY.

Gold Medal Gymnastic Center of Huntington won First Place by more than 7 points for this early states meet under the direction of director and head coach Tammy Marshall.

All around Champions were won in every age division within the two levels by Gold Medal Gymnastics. The girls won every event at the meet.

The Level 6 team has 17 girls ranging from 8-10 years old. They live in both Nassau and Suffolk counties and practice 5 days a week all year long.

The girls on the team are: Nicole Riccardi, 10, East Northport; Michelle Pirozzi, 10, South Huntington; Jessica Mitchell, 9, Huntington; Alexis Diakakis, 10, Dix Hills; Isabel Coscia, 10, Elwood; Kayla Devaeuax, 10, Carle Place; Ariel Posen, 8, Syosset; Gia Graver, 10, East Northport; Bella Thompson, 10, Huntington; Kasey Dutton, 10, Massapequa Park; Tea Magliione, 9, Commack; Erin McGlaughlin, 10, Greenlawn; Kaya Kula, 9, Syosset; Katie Finnegan, 9, Kings Park; Baylie Larsen, 10, Huntington;  Aidan Bolton, 10, Huntington; Riley Weinberg, 10, Roslyn
