Last Summerfest Concert Thursday
The last Summerfest Concert will take place Thursday at the Robert Krueger bandshell in Northport Village Park, overlooking the harbor at 7:30 p.m. "Time Was," a band for music lovers of all generations are welcome.

Mid-Summer Night Dances under the Stars

Do you love to dance, or do you want to learn? The gate at the Vanderbilt Museum in Centerport opens at 6:30 p.m. today, with dancing 7-9:30. Lessons included. Bring a picnic dinner. Tickets at the door: $20.00 per person. The dances are sponsored by Ballroom on the Bay of Huntington. Food catered by Blondee’s Bistro of Huntington.

Northport Schools to Hire More Teachers
The Northport Board of education voted Tuesday to approve the hiring of 2 teacher and one assistant teaching positions on the elementary school level. We'll have more on this story later today.
