Good morning, Northport. Here's a look at what residents should know about today in town.

Information Booth Coming to Northport Village
The Northport Chamber of Commerce announced Monday that an information booth will be  built by the entrance to Northport Park, just off Main Street, close to the village dock. The intention of the booth is to provide information to residents and visitors about the area, upcoming events, local organizations and Northport history. Patch will have more information on this later today.

School Lunch Prices Increasing
The Northport Board of Education voted Monday night to increase lunch prices on the elementary and secondary level by 10 cents.

Canterberry Ale's Closes in Huntington
Canterbury Ales, a mainstay of Huntington village for more than 36 years, announced Monday that it has shut down. Fans and regular customers of the local bar took to social media to express their dismay at the announcement.

SAT Prep
Huntington Learning Center in East Northport will present a free SAT
evaluation Today at 3 p.m. Students can take a full length practice test with under actual test conditions, and get results that same day. Space is limited to the first 20 students. RSVP at (631) 462-8900. Huntington Learning Center is located at 1928 Jericho Tpke., East Northport.

East Northport Annual Festival Coming Up
The East Northport Chamber of Commerce's Annual Festival will take place Sept. 6-8 at John Walsh Park and Larkfield Road. The festival will feature magic shows, sidewalk sales, exhibits, craft vendors, great food, petting zoo, bicycle stunt shows, amusement rides and games, live entertainment, street performers and more.
