Good morning, Northport.
Let's skip the Monday blues and reflect back on what an incredible weekend we had: beautiful weather, a fantastic race and one incredible parade and festival. Another Cow Harbor weekend goes down in history.
Here's a look back at all of the weekend's fantastic moments.
Did you see Fernando Cabada cross the finish line of the Cow Harbor 10K Run? The 28-year-old from Boulder, Colo. won the race in 29 minutes and 32 seconds - that's an average pace of 4 minutes and 46 seconds, wow! Cabada's win marks the end of Mo Trafeh's four-year-reign as race champion. The gracious Trafeh suffered a leg injury this summer, but he has already pledged to return next year. Read more here.
The women's run was one of the closest in race history. Mattie Suver, of Colorado Springs, Colo., won the 10K by just 1.5 seconds. It was Suver's first time running the Cow Harbor race. She finished in 33 minutes and 31 seconds. Read more about it here.
After the race, it was time for celebrations. The annual Cow Harbor parade kicked off at noon Sunday, as thousands of residents flooded Main Street to get in on the fun. Check out photos from the day here and upload your own to our Snapshots blog to show off to all of your friends.
Did you see the Northport marching band show off its dancing skills during the parade? Watch the VIDEO here to relive the moment.
