Northport Police Report: DWI, Marijuana Possession

Incidents and arrests, March 7-13.

The following information was taken from the blotter. An arrest does not indicate a conviction as all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  • Stephanie Marchese, 60, of Woodbine Avenue was arrested and charged with unsafe lane change, driving while ability impaired by drugs, and prohibited u-turn after being involved in a car accident on March 7 at 10:30 a.m. Marchese was transported to Northport Police Headquarters for processing, administered a Drug Recognition Evaluation by Suffolk County Police Officer Copozzi, and held pending arraignment by the Honorable Judge Senzer. She was transported to Suffolk Correctional Facility after she was unable to post bail.
  • James Wallin, 53, of Thicket Drive in Cold Spring Harbor was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and unsafe backing up after he allegedly backed into a parked vehicle along Woodbine Avenue around 12:30 a.m. on March 11. An officer on patrol administered sobriety tests after noticing that Wallin was standing outside of his car and unsteady on his feet. Wallin failed the tests and blew a .12 BAC. Hon. Paul H. Senzer ordered Wallin to relinquish his driver's license to the court and was released on $200 bail.
  • Zebediah Schildkr, 19, of Scudder Avenue was arrested on March 13 at 8:30 a.m. and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia. Schildkr had allegedly pitched a tent on someone's property without permission and was found with two packages of marijuana and a pipe with residue in plain view when the police arrived.
  • A woman on Lisa Drive reported that someone fraudulently used her identity and credit card to make a purchase in the amount of $324.79 on Feb. 2.
  • A Fort Salonga Road woman reported that an unknown person used her debit card to make two unauthorized purchases on March 6. Both debits were made were made to Game Stop Inc.
  • A man on Burr Avenue claimed that his neighbor became irate over landscaping trucks parked outside his house on March 9 and blocked the landscaping trucks with his car.
  • A highly intoxicated man lying in the back seat of his car was taken to Huntington Hospital by Northport Rescue on March 9 around 8:43 p.m. March 9.
  • A man driving a 2011 Jeep reportedly drove erratically in a parking lot on Fort Salonga Road March 10 around 1 a.m. then got out of his car and started cursing at the complainant before leaving.
  • Someone in a Black SUV reportedly exploded fireworks in a Clipper Drive resident's mail box on March 11 around 11 p.m.
  • An unknown man in his 20s reportedly kicked a parked Mercedes Benz on Ocean Ave breaking a passenger tail light on March 13 around 2 a.m. The area was empty when police arrived.
  • Two fences on Reservoir Avenue were damaged by an unknown person on March 13. One fence was pushed over and the other had several broken pickets.
