Crimes Nearby: Man Arrested in Huntington Hit-And-Run

Huntington Station
Police Wednesday arrested a Huntington Station man who they say killed a pedestrian in a Jan. 1 hit-and-run crash on New York Avenue.
According to police, William Koziatek, 45, has been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle crash, a felony.
Cesar Gudiel, 46, of Huntington Station was killed while walking in the roadway at 7:35 p.m. near East 21st Street on New York Avenue, according to police.
Smithtown
Shandi Groom, 25, of Centereach was arrested Jan. 17 in Smithtown and charged with petit larceny. Groom is accused of stealing clothing and sneakers from Macy's at the Smith Haven Mall.
Hauppaugue
Christian Jordan, 19, of Bellport and Jesse Campo, 19, of Patchogue, were arrested Jan. 13 in Hauppauge and charged with disorderly conduct. Police said Jordan and Campo were fighting in a parking lot at Silk night club on Route 347. Jordan is also accused of fighting with the club's staff members, according to police reports.
